Exeter City striker Marcus Stewart has retired from the professional game following Saturday's 2-0 defeat of his former side Bristol Rovers.
The veteran striker came off the bench to play a key role as Exeter overcame their relegation-threatened opponents.
Drawing the curtain on a 19-year career, Stewart touched on Ryan Harley's cross for Daniel Nardiello to fire in from close range.
The 38-year-old has made 783 career appearances and netted over 250 career goals.
"I thought it was a good thing to do at Rovers because I started off there and I finished there and it gives someone else an opportunity for the final five games.
"I am proud of my career and I am going out not chasing anything, I'm not chasing another title or another goal.
"I'd like to say I've done most things and I'm content in my head with retiring now because of that reason, it's a big factor."
