David Cameron is taking his family on holiday to Lanzarote over Parliament's Easter break.
The Prime Minister is expected to leave for the volcanic island this weekend with wife Samantha and children, and return in time for Good Friday.
Reports in the Spanish press suggest he is staying in the popular Playa Blanca resort. It is thought to be their first family holiday in the Canaries, although they have visited Ibiza and Mallorca.
Speaking on BBC Radio Norfolk earlier, Mr Cameron was asked what he would be doing over the Easter break and replied that he would be spending the festival with Samantha's family.
"I am going to be spending a bit of time with my mother-in-law," he said. "I think I am spending Easter Day with Samantha's family."
A Downing Street spokesman said they never confirmed the PM's movements for security reasons.
