EXETER City left Carlisle just two points clear of the relegation zone with a 3-1 victory in the North West yesterday.
The Grecians took the lead when Ryan Harley slid the ball underneath the keeper in the 30th minute.
Nine minutes later Steven Rigg levelled the scores with a volley from ten yards.
But Harley scored his second in the 56th minutes - a low shot from Clinton Morrison's lay-off - and Liam Sercombe secured Exeter's win right at the death.
