SKITTLES: Manning makes Sampford Peverell finals day again

THE finalists for the Captain’s Cup in the Sampford Peverell and district skittles league have been decided.

The four players through to the finals, to be held at Cullompton Rugby Club on May 22, are Steve Manning (Barmy Army), Gary Cross (Bellies), Alan Bolt (Oggies), and Wayne Cottrell (Settler Boys).

In the qualifying rounds new boy Graham Prigg of Manor Magic sailed through to the quarter-finals only to be beaten by a fired up Wayne Cottrell who posted the highest score at either venue, hitting several spares.

Steve Manning of Barmy Army takes his place on finals night for a second year running.
