CROWD favourite Sam Harris has been appointed club captain at Cullompton RFC following the departure of Jemba Bull to Taunton Titans.

Harris, who was a key part of the team when they lifted the EDF Trophy at Twickenham in 2009, will lead the Cullompton 1st XV for the 2012-13 Tribute South West 1 West campaign.

Greg Richards will captain the 2nd XV while Paul Wyle takes up the role of 3rd team Captain.

Harris will lead his team out for the first home fixture of the 2012-13 season at Stafford Park on Saturday, September 8 (3pm) when Cullompton host Sidmouth.

Before that Cullompton are away to Bridgwater and Albion on Saturday, September 1 (3pm).
