WILLAND Rovers won the Bishops Lydeard under-12 tournament with a superb collective display throughout the competition.
With top spot need to contest the final, Willand beat Galmington Dragons, Staplegrove, Watchet Town Rangers and Minehead Youth before, with their place in the final assured, they shuffled their pack, going down 1-0 to the hosts.
In the final they met a Minehead Town side who were unbeaten in qualifying but triumphed 1-0 thanks to a goal from Sam Jones set up by the impressive debutant Harry Foster.
Tom Mortiboys (2), Connor Pengelly (2), Kieran Fry (2), Jones and William Birley all scored goals in the competition while goalkeeper Jordan Biss kept a clean sheet in all his matches.
