Tae kwon do: Star students receive awards

CULLOMPTON PUMA Tae Kwon Do presented their Student of the Year Awards at a special ceremony.

Adam Appleby was named adult student of the year after gaining his fourth degree, making him an expert in the martial art.

Dayna Jones, who became a World and European Champion in 2009, was presented with the teenager of the year award.

James Martin and George Palfrey won the Under-12s and Little Puma awards, respectively.

Instructors Chris Clarke, Adam Appleby and Dayna Jones made their selections based on the students’ ability, commitment, attendance and determination throughout the year.

All four students worked hard in training and have shown great dedication and commitment in tae kwon do. For more information on tae kwon do classes, call Chris Clarke on 01884-38160. There will also be beginners’ classes starting in the near future.
