TIVERTON motocross star Alex Snow is heading to Spain to prepare for the new British Championship season, which gets underway this month.
The 21-year-old, who signed up for the Albion Motorcycles team in December, is one of a number of Brits escaping the British winter in search of suitable training conditions.
Snow headed down to Murcia yesterday (Tuesday) for just over two weeks to get in good shape for round one of the championship at the Little Silver Moto Parc near Exeter on Feburary 28.
Snow, the British Under-21 Champion in 2008, will compete in the MX1 class in both the Maxxis British Championship and the Red Bull Pro Nationals.
He said: “I'm really looking forwards to heading down to Spain for some nicer weather.
“I have been riding now for the past couple of weeks and I'm really enjoying the new bike. I'm starting to feel a bit more like my old self after such a long lay-off and feel that two weeks of good quality riding will help even further.”
