IAN Binding and Keith Williams teamed up to win the fourth and final qualifier for the men’s Winter Foursomes at Tiverton.
The duo posted an excellent medalford score of 11 to finish two clear of Pete Guest and John Stuckey plus Neil Forward and Ced Gibbons.
Under the medalford format, pairs deduct their stableford score on the back nine from their medal total on the front nine, giving a par of 18.
Binding and Williams had already booked their place in the knock-out stages by virtue of finishing fourth in the first qualifier at the end of October.
Joining them in the last 32, along with Guest and Stuckey plus Forward and Gibbons, are Lloyd Sampson and Lee Davey, Roger Millett and Dave Horn, Roger Stevens and Paul Bayley, last year’s champions John Hanson and Steve Garland, Nobby Clarke and Richard Colman plus Mike Hurley and David Hazlewood.
