Fencing star hopes to prove a point

A TIVERTON fencer is on top of the world after helping the Somerset fencing team to victory at the inter-regional Excalibur Trophy.

Jenny McGeever, 17, of Wellington School, is now preparing for the Senior National Championships in July.

Jenny has already represented Britain at the Under-17 European and World Championships.

She is also a member of the Great Britain Under-20 Squad, and fences for Somerset, Wellington Swords and Wellington School, where she is girls’ team Captain.

Jenny boards three nights a week at the school to attend club classes run by international fencing coach George Fellatar, who also teaches fencing at her school.
