THE 2009 Culm Valley Kwik Cricket Festival is this year being contested at two venues.
The first is being played on Friday (July 3) when Sampford Peverell CC stages the competition which will see 16 teams from seven schools compete.
Burlescombe, Culmstock, Halberton, Sampford Peverell and St Andrews have each entered two sides, Hemyock have one and Plymstock have entered no fewer than five teams!
The action gets under way at 10.30am with the semi-finals scheduled to be played from 2pm and to be followed by the Final and the presentations of trophies.
The following Friday on July 10, Keynsham Park, Bradninch, stages a day of Kwik Cricket, this one sponsored by Bradninch Post Office and Spar Shop, with ten teams contesting the competition.
Clyst Hydon, Kentisbeare and Bradninch will each have three teams and Silverton the one in the event which gets under way at 10.30am with again the semi-finals scheduled for 2pm to be followed by the final and presentations.
