THE King’s College 1sts netball team are the under-19 county champions after defeating Millfield School in the Somerset final.
The Taunton side are also through to the second round of the National Schools event.
The entire King’s squad demonstrated a high skill level and steady play to take the county title.
Captain Alex Mckean was an inspiration to her team with her commitment and enthusiasm.
Sara Similien, the co-director of sport at King’s, said: “The past few months have been very successful for girls’ sport at King’s, with the hockey squad the county runners-up and the netball squad becoming county champions.
“A great team spirit exists, particularly evident on our recent netball and hockey tour in Barbados, which was a huge boost in terms of playing a wide range of opposition.
“The girls have all worked extremely hard and deserve to have done so well.”
