Counties 1 Tribute Western West: Bude 31 - 25 Wiveliscombe
WIVELISCOMBE RFC travelled to Bude for this match between the two bottom teams in the Western Counties West league hoping to secure their first league victory of the season.
But as often happens in these situations they were unlucky not to come away with more than a losing bonus point.
Bude led at half time 21pts 13pts with an intercepted try being the difference between the two teams. Wivey's points came from a Will Thorne try with Dan Quick adding the conversion and two penalties.
Wiveliscombe outscored their opponents in the second half twelve points to ten with tries from winger Dan Rottenbury and replacement Jack Thorne, Dan Quick added one conversion.
Wivey have been within ten points of their opponents in four of the six league games played this season and hopefully will secure a win in the not to distant future.
