Wivey had started reasonably well with a well worked try by Sam Kennan after good work by debutant James Kavanagh, skipper Gareth Bellamy converted to give Wivey an early 7-3 lead.

Steve Potter scored the home side's third try in the second half to wrap the game up for Pethy. Williams converted and also added a second penalty.

Wiveliscombe, for all their effort failed to add to their scoreline although they had their chances and must now reorganise.
