Somerset County League Division 2 (W): Yatton 0, Creech St Michael 2.

CREECH St Michael made it four league wins on the bounce with victory away to Yatton.

That run has seen them move back up to sixth to restore hope they can mount a promotion bid.

Creech avoided their usual slow start and piled on the pressure in the early stages.

Deane Yarde hit post and cross bar with headers from Matt Sibley crosses before finally giving his side a 20th minute after latching on to Scott Drayton's long ball.

James Bigwood made it 2-0 15 minutes later, sending a cross-shot flying over the keeper into the far corner for his first goal for two seasons.

Creech always looked capable of extending their lead with Yarde and Simon Elsley both had goals disallowed.

Yatton came more into the game after the break, but Creech's defence rarely looked like conceding.

This Saturday, Creech are home to Weston St John Reserves.
