TIVERTON Town, who have picked up just one point from a possible 12 in the last month, face a tough league trip to Bridgwater Town on Saturday (3pm).

The good news is that key defender Tom Gardner may be fit enough for a return after sustaining a thigh injury in the cup game against Willand Rovers in December.

Gardner has been sorely missed, with Tivvy conceding seven goals in the three games since his injury. The Yellows conceded just two in two games before that.

One player certain to start is Josh Searle who has impressed manager Martyn Rogers when coming off the bench in recent matches.

He played an important role in the 2-2 Boxing Day draw with Taunton Town and was one of the few to impress in the 3-1 loss at Clevedon Town on New Year’s Day.

Last Saturday’s scheduled game with Shortwood United was rained off and has been rearranged for Tuesday, Jan-uary 27 (7.30pm).

The Yellows’ annual meeting AGM is being held next Wednesday, January 14 at 7.30pm.
