A CULLOMPTON teenager has three horses entered for the Nunney International Horse Trials which has attracted some of the top names from the sport of eventing including Zara Phillips and Harry Meade.

Nearly 800 horses will be competing at the trials which take place at Southfield House near Frome next weekend (June 13-15).

Janou Bleekman, who is 18, became the youngest ever person to win a British Eventing event in 2008 when she was just 12.

She said: “I love Nunney as its so well organised and I’ve been going each year since it started in 2012.

“It’s a really good event with a great atmosphere and decent cross country tracks.

“One of my horses, Catch Up Quick, or Margot as we call her at home, belongs to Jennie Frewen who has been studying at Exeter University and she has kindly let me ride her so that I can gain some more experience.”
