TIVERTON Town drew 0-0 at home to high-flying North Leigh in the Calor Southern league on Saturday.
But the Yellows, who were missing three regulars, should have taken maximum points.
Michael Nardiello went close for the hosts in the first minute, keeper Paul White saving low down.
Max Kowal then blasted wide before North Leigh produced the miss of the match, Zak Westlake heading a free-kick wide when unmarked.
The game ebbed and flowed until the 55th minute when Leigh’s James Organ received a second yellow for scything down Dan Smith.
A minute later Tivvy’s Ed Palmer also received his marching orders, again for a second yellow.
With 12 minutes to go Tivvy sub and top scorer Matt Wright appeared to be brought down in the box but was booked for a dive.
Wright set up Smith who shot narrowly wide then Smith’s cross was just missed by Wright at the back post.
Tivvy’s highly impressive keeper Mike Searle then produced a fine last minute save to deny Jacob Walcott.
