TICKETS have gone on sale for Tiverton Amateur Operatic Society’s Sound of Music.
The hit musical will be performed at the New Hall from Monday to Saturday, September 24 to September 29. The story is set in 1930s Austria where a young woman named Maria is failing miserably in her attempts to become a nun.
When Navy captain Georg Von Trapp writes to the convent asking for a governess that can handle his seven mischievous children, Maria is given the job.
The plot sees Maria’s relationship with the children grow while Georg has his own problems with the Nazis taking power in Germany and with his would-be fiancée.
Tickets priced £9 adults and £7.50 children under 16 are available from Twyford Photography on Bampton Street, Tiverton.
