Arsonists strike in Tiverton

ARSONISTS are being blamed for a fire last night in Tiverton.

Two fire engines from Tiverton were called out after receiving reports of a fire at a building in Belmot Road.

The alarm was raised just before 8.15pm and the Tiverton firefighters were joined by a crew from Bampton.

They found a building heavily smoke logged, found the fire and dealt with the incident.

A spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: ''The cause was deliberate and the incident handed over to the police.''
