Fund to get buyers on the property market almost at an end

FIRST-TIME home buyers in Cullompton are being given one final opportunity to take advantage of the Government-backed FirstBuy scheme before funds run out.

The scheme is designed to help buyers get on to the property ladder with loans of up to 20% of the price of the property, jointly funded by Barratt Homes and the Government’s Homes & Communities Agency.

Buyers then have to find the remaining 80% of the price themselves.

Caroline Hill, Barratt Homes sales director, said the scheme has been popular with buyers at their Kingfisher Reach development in Cullompton.

She said: “There’s still time for those looking to get on to the property ladder to take full advantage of FirstBuy, but those interested must act quickly.”
