A MALE casualty was airlifted to hospital after a crash in Tiverton.
The crash occurred between a tractor pulling a trailer and a cyclist at around midday today.
Police and ambulance were called at 12.06pm to the crash near Ashley Rise.
The 47-year-old cyclist was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth after suffering a fractured leg and a fractured ankle.
The A396 Exeter Road is closed in both directions between the Narrow Lane junction and the A3072 junction.
A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police said: "The road is still closed as the incident is ongoing.
"The ambulance was called but the casualty was airlifted to hospital."
