A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a crash on the M5.
Avon and Somerset Police say they were called to a two car collision between J27 Tiverton and J26 Wellington northbound just after 12.30pm.
Two lanes were originally closed, and a woman has been taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton, although her injuries are not thought to be serious.
There were also delays along the same stretch of road southbound shortly before due to a vehicle fire.
One lane of the M5 was closed for around an hour, resulting in slow traffic.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service attended the fire and used breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and a beater.
The Fire Service were mobilised to a report of a vehicle on fire at the above location. Two appliances were mobilised to the incident.
The vehicle was 50 per cent damaged by fire.
