CULMSTOCK primary School celebrated the start of the festive period with christingle classes this week.
Volunteers from All Saints Church helped with the classes, led by Peggy Whitcombe who also organises the Somerset Shoebox appeal.
Jane Slater, administrator at Culmstock Primary School said: "It went absolutely fabulously. Five ladies from the church came and helped the children.
"There were 150 pupils were in school and they all made one, and we also made some for the local pre-school."
The school also held an advent service and christingle with local vicar David Burton, from All Saints church.
