GUEST night at Bradninch Folk Club on May 19 features Tobias Ben Jacob.

Tobias is the talented singer and songwriter who first came to Bradninch with Phillip Henry as the duo The School of Trobar and later Roots Union.

His writing has always had a rich honesty and his skill as a performer has seen a renaissance.

Add to this the inspired teaming up with the multi-instrumentalist and singer Lukas Drinkwater, who is also a member of the three Daft Monkey and last seen at the Club with Jim Causley.

Tobias and Lukas are touring far and wide, enjoying popular and critical acclaim as a duo complete with a record deal.

Visiting support from The Demagogues a Gothic Folk dramatic experience of dark ballads and fairytales, bleak, beautiful and shrouded in bittersweet menace.

Local performer Mandy Porteous will be making a return visit.

In the opinion of many performers the function room of the Castle Hotel is the finest acoustic space in the town and a perfect venue for people who enjoy the clarity of acoustic music.

Entry £4 on the door - performance starts at 8pm.
