ALUMNI of Tiverton Grammar School will have an opportunity to reminisce about their school years, at the annual reunion of the Tiverton Old Grammarians.

The reunion is being held at The Castle Primary School (old Grammar School) on Friday, May 8 from 7pm-9.30pm - with doors open at 6.30pm.

Guests will be able to view a large photographic display and enjoy a glass of wine and finger buffet.

This year's speaker will be Jenny Willan who has had a most successful, interesting and varied career as a writer and lecturer.

A pupil at the Grammar School between 1961 and 1969, she began her career as an English teacher before taking up a post as a researcher at the National Foundation for Educational Research, followed by a position at the Department of Education at Cambridge University.

Jenny has had short stories broadcast on the Radio 4 Morning Story slot and she is currently writing an undergraduate textbook on early childhood studies for Palgrave Macmillan.

More recently she has lectured at the University of Plymouth - she will be talking about her 'Life in Books' with special reference to some of her English teachers at the Grammar School who provided the foundations.

Admission is £4, to include a glass of wine or soft drink and everyone attending is asked to bring a small plate of food to contribute to the buffet supper.

All old Grammarians are welcome to attend, from any year groups.
