DOUBLE Bill, a collaboration between Cygnet Theatre in Exeter and Wren Music, features fiddle legend Tom McConville in concert on Saturday.

He will be supported by Wren musician David Faulkner (pictured) with this long time playing partner Steve Turner.

McConville is a virtuoso musician and fantastic singer – his rich and warm voice makes his interpretation of traditional and contemporary songs admired by singers throughout the world.

Faulkner and Turner are half of the popular folk band The Eel Grinders, a band not afraid to meld elements of classical, traditional and jazz. Faulkner is one of the leading bagpipers in England and his electric playing is perfectly supported by Turner’s subtle accordion.

Double Bill is a specialist folk programme that brings some of the best traditional music performers in the UK and combines them with the excellent musicians who make up the Wren team.

The concert promises to be a rich mix of folk song.

It starts at 7.30pm and tickets priced £12 (full) £10 (under-18s) are available from Cygnet Theatre on 01392-277189, Exeter Visitor Information Centre on 01392-665885 or on-line at wegottickets.com
