PUPILS at Tidcombe Primary School in Tiverton were treated to a musical start to the New Year, with brass instrument lessons on Wednesday.
Music teacher John Fitton visited the school to teach the Year five and six pupils.
Tidcombe Primary School Administrative Assistant, Mrs Kate Southcott said: “Every Wednesday our music teacher, John Fitton comes in to teach Years five and six to use brass instruments.
“This term they are learning a song made famous by Ben E. King called Stand By Me.
“John is a well-known, highly respected teacher who has taught in many schools over the years. He also teaches piano to a few of the students as well as private brass lessons.
“We are lucky to have some talented musicians at Tidcombe Primary School and we are also able to offer violin and guitar lessons to groups within school.”
