THE children at Uplowman Primary School took part in a First World War themed day last week, with the children dressing in a variety of outfits from the era.
They found their classrooms transformed and had strict rules to follow.
The children experienced a range of activities from cookery, wartime songs, writing letters to their loved ones in the trenches and even completed marching drills.
Children discussed the differences between life in the First World War for a child and that of children today.
