KENTISBEARE-based singing group 'The Wyndham Singers' celebrated another very successful fund raising year by handing over a cheque for £7,200 to the Exeter branch of 'Sense.'

Martin Mountstevens, the founder of the Wyndham Singers, presented the cheque to Jane Tucker who explained how the money will make a real difference to supporting local deafblind people.

The money was raised from a number of events throughout the year including concerts, carolling in local pubs at Christmas and even taking part in a sponsored sailing race around the Eddystone Lighthouse.

The Wyndham Singers next concert will be held at St Mary's Church in Uffculme on Friday April 25 at 7:30pm - tickets will be available on the door for £8.
