THE chairman of Cullompton Traders Association has written an open letter to all businesses in the area inviting them to join.

The letter, from Neil Vaughan, encourages Cullompton business owners to contribute their experience and expertise to the traders’ association by helping them negotiate, lobby and represent the area.

In the letter Mr Vaughan says: “We believe all businesses can work together for the good of the area and that by joining the group you will become part of a team which wants to succeed in its main focus.

“We need the experience and expertise of everyone in the area to help the group move forward as a strong alliance of business people, giving us the strength to negotiate, lobby and represent the area at all levels of government and commerce to attract funding, support and new business.

“You do not need to attend regular meetings, but are most welcome to contribute ideas or information which you feel are of use to the group via phone, emails, letters etc.

“However, if you would like to attend the monthly meetings you would be most welcome, and, as I mentioned before, we are a team and welcome everyone who would like to make a difference to the area.

“There is a small annual membership fee, currently £12, which is used towards the running costs of the group.

“If you would like further details on membership please call Sharon on 01884-839200.”
