TIVERTON is set to get a new secondary school in the next five years following a successful bid for Government cash.

Tiverton High was one of five schools in Devon which bid for £80 from the Building Schools for the Future programme.

Work will start on planning the new school almost immediately.

Building work should start in about three years with a view to completion by 2014 or 2015.
