THE director of a Tiverton hotel has been appointed the new chairman of tourism website Visit Devon.
The Visit Devon Community Interest Company (CIC) will work to promote tourism and hospitality within the area, and to attract new visitors to Devon.
Rhys Roberts, the newly appointed chairman, is the director of the Best Western Tiverton Hotel.
Mid Devon is currently represented on the website in the 'Exeter, East Devon and Mid Devon' section which it believes is the heart of Devon.
Mr Roberts, chairman of Visit Devon said: "I am privileged to lead such a talented and experienced team who intend moving forward quickly to achieve our objectives of promoting and supporting tourism businesses to increase sustainable profits to the benefit of the residents and visitors of Devon."
