AN OFFICER at Mid Devon Council is celebrating after winning an award at a recent ceremony.

Pauline Davey, senior land charges officer at the council, was presented with the award for “Best Customer Satisfaction” for local authority searches.

The award was at a ceremony held in Bristol on February 29 and was hosted by Land Data.

Mid Devon was also runner up in the “Most Improved NLIS Services”

category.

Solicitors and licensed conveyancers throughout the country were invited to nominate Land Charges teams that they felt had genuinely committed to delivering a consistently high level of customer service.

Consideration of quality, efficiency, reliability and value for money were high on the agenda.

Mid Devon was one of 10 authorities nominated.

The runner-up prize was given for the highest increase in the percentage of electronic searches against paper versions and improved turnaround of performance.

Again 10 others were nominated.

Pauline said: “We are very proud to receive this national award. We have a great customerfocused team at Mid Devon who are committed to delivering a professional and efficient service to all our customers.

“This recognition of our efforts and commitment to the service that we deliver is a great reward.

We will do our utmost to maintain and further improve our service and standards in the future. I would like to thank everyone who voted for us.”

Councillor Colin Slade, cabinet member for community wellbeing, said: “We are truly honoured and thrilled to have received this WELL DONE: Pauline Davey receives her award award.”
