YOUNG pupils at Blundell’s School, Tiverton, dressed up in some wild outfits to play tennis – all in the name of a good cause.

SpongeBob, Princess and the Pea, bananas and Spider-Man were just a few of the amazing variety of outfits worn by Years 7 and 8, who were taking part in the annual fundraising tennis tournament for Save the Children.

The 108 pupils played a round robin format, with the winners of each group going on to compete in the semi-finals and finals, to be held later in the term, as will the Ladies, Mens and Mixed doubles tournaments. All entrants raised money for the charity and the school is hoping to beat last year’s overall total of £2,400. Blundell’s is one of the top schools for raising most money for the charity in this national tournament.
