A MUSIC quiz at Tiverton Golf Club raised nearly £800 for local charity Hospiscare.

People of all ages, including club members, friends and the public, put their knowledge to the test in The Big Fun Music Quiz.

The event attracted 106 people in 18 teams, who raised £780.20 via entry money, a raffle and an auction of the winning prize.

Katie Chantler, head of fundraising for Hospiscare, said: “We want to say a huge thank you to Tiverton Golf Club for hosting the music quiz.

“It was a lot of fun and raised a fantastic amount for Hospiscare.

“We’re delighted that club captain David Jack has selected Hospiscare as his charity of the year.

“We rely on raising 80% of our funding through voluntary contributions and this will go a long way in supporting that.

“Thank you to everyone who took part and to our lovely quizmaster Kevin Cocker, who donated his time for free on the night.”

Hospiscare supports people in Exeter, Mid and East Devon with terminal illnesses.

Patients from Mid Devon can also access Hospiscare’s specialist inpatient unit in Exeter.
