THE organisers of the annual Uffculme Music and Real Ale Festival have ann-ounced their line-up for this year’s event on July 10-11.

Headlining on the Saturday night will be Devon singer-songwriter and quarter finalist on BBC’s The Voice UK, Adam Isaac, who returns to his roots with a performance in Uffculme.

Having supported the likes of chart-toppers Ash, Joss Stone and Sandi Thom, he has entertained crowds across the UK, playing an array of venues and festivals over a decade out on the road.

With influences ranging from Coldplay, Muse and Blur to The Verve, David Gray and Michael Jackson, Adam Isaac has built up a strong following thanks to his edgy rock/pop sounds and explosive on-stage performance.

Armed with a guitar and a stomp box, his rhythm-led playing and soaring vocals will entice the audience in for an energetic and exciting live set full of surprising mash-up style covers and self-penned songs.

Also returning to her roots on Sat-urday evening will be Alex Hart.

Now proudly sporting record deals in both the UK and US the ever-popular songstress will be wooing the crowds with her performances of what she likes to call West Country Country.

Friday night’s headline act is Jason Baxter’s Little Big Band featuring the incredible boogie woogie, swing and blues pianist of the same name.

It promises to be a good night with folk rock country band Cross Border also on the bill.

This year’s festival organisers are thrilled that the Culm Valley Music & Performance Club will once again be organising the music from 2pm-7pm on Saturday and, again, showing the sort of quality that’s open to all and being enjoyed by many every last Wednesday evening of each month at Uffculme’s Magelake Parish Pavilion.

On the afternoon bill are the likes of the young starlet Charlotte Ward and the amazing guitarist Jerry Cahill.

Last year a range of lesser known ales and ciders from across Devon and the West Country were sourced.

Some had quirky names such as Box Steam Funnel Blower, Barum Break-fast, Summerskills Bolt Head and Skin-ners Ginger Tosser.

This year there will again be 16 ales and eight ciders on offer, though these are still being researched.

Food, tea and coffee will be available on site from the exceptionally friendly Marc ‘n’ Rosie of Go Local.

Admission to the Uffculme Music and Real Ale Festival is set at £5 or £8 for both days.
