TIVERTON Museum of Mid Devon Life’s new temporary exhibition is now open, featuring photographs of local people from about the 1870s-1940s.
The light-hearted exhibition invites visitors to look closely at the fashions, hairstyles and beards sported in the photographs.
It also examines the history of photographic studios in the town.
Some of the prints featured are taken from a collection of glass plate negatives discovered in the attic of a building in the town a few years ago.
They come from a long-standing photography business in Bampton Street and the prints are being shown for the first time.
The exhibition is family-friendly, with a dressing up corner, and runs until June 27.
Entry is £1 for adults with accompanying children free (for visitors with a full admission ticket entry to the exhibition is free).
