DUO Ninebarrow – Jon Whitley and Jay LaBouchard-iere – are set to perform at Bradninch Folk Club.

The pair have performed for appreciative audiences at venues and festivals across the country, including supporting Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin at last year's Brad-ninch Music Festival.

Jon and Jay's debut album While the Blackthorn Burns has been hailed as ‘a landmark folk album of its time’ and was listed in The Telegraph’s top folk albums of 2014.

To crown it all, at the start of year Ninebarrow were ann-ounced winners of Fatea Magazine’s Debut Album of the Year 2014.

Top drawer support comes from previous club headliners Nick Wyke and Becki Driscoll, respected fiddle-players and composers from Torrington, North Devon. Their unique sound is a joyful collision of English traditional music and contemporary bowed strings.

Recent headliner and resident performer Gavin Daven-port will also appear. His accolades include finalist in the Fatea Awards 2013 for Male Vocalist of the Year and winner of a 2013 fRoots Album of The Year for his CD The Bone Orchard.

Impressive local singer-songwriter Ben Goddard will open the evening.

The show in the function room of the Castle Hotel, Bradninch, on Tuesday, February 17, starts at 8pm.

Entry is £5 on the door or by ticket in advance – phone 01392-881105.
