IF you always lose when it came to pulling Christmas crackers then perhaps throwing a cracker is more your forte?
Tiverton will again host the World Christmas Cracker Throw-ing Championships on Saturday, November 29.
Competitors must attempt to throw a single Christmas cracker as far as possible.
The competition is open to men, women and children with prizes for all categories.
Last year’s inaugural record was set by Elliott Hurrell, eight, from Peterborough, who threw a staggering 13.57m, beating all the other 200 adults and children competing.
He had been practising in his back garden for three months.
Tiverton Mayor Cllr Sue Griggs, who is also chairman of Tiverton Town Team, said: “This is a great fun addition to our Tiverton Christmas lights programme and we hope both the people of Tiverton and those across Mid Devon will be enthused to come along and take part, and at the same time experience all the great shops Tiverton has to offer.”
World Christmas Cracker Throwing Championships takes place in Fore Street from 11am-1pm.
