MAYOR of Tiverton Sue Grigg will be taking to the streets on Sunday to keep the town spick and span as part of The 'Let's Keep Tiverton Tidy' campaign.

Joined by a group of volunteers, Sue and her group will be meeting on Fore Street between 10am and 10.30am on Sunday morning, starting on the streets in the town and working their way out.

They will be removing the weeds and any rubbish as well as cleaning off any unwanted bill posting.

Cllr Grigg said: “I hope we will make a difference and encourage people to keep our town looking cleaner and tidier for themselves.

“One of the main issues traders and the public have is the amount of litter and untidy streets we have here, we want to rectify this.

“There's several volunteers already lined up including some of the town litter pickers, McDonald's staff, town councillors and towns traders.”
