AN unexpected guest made an exciting appearance earlier this week at Tidcombe Primary School.
This cute little hedgehog, nicknamed Spikey by the children, bravely made its way across the school playing fields to be rescued by a mealtime assistants.
The animal was clearly injured and the RSPCA came to collect Spikey, who, it was reported, had suffered a cut to the leg.
Spikey is doing really well, and is on the road to making a full recovery.
