TWO Mid Devon students from Bridgwater College have received recognition for their hard work at the college's Apprenticeship Awards Evening.

Tom Brooke, 21, Cullompton, and Lewis Watts, 20, from Tiverton, both received awards for their work in the Land-based, Sports and Services department - which had a total of five winners on the night.

Tom, who studied the Agriculture Advanced Apprenticeship (Livestock) and won the Land-based, Sports and Services Apprentice of the Year title.

During his studies Tom started his own contracting business, alongside working on the family farm.

The Apprentice Champion Winner of the Year went to Lewis Watts, who studies the Horticulture (Sports Turf) Intermediate Apprenticeship.

Lewis impressed his employer, training assessor and training officer with his commitment to learning, both in the workplace and at College.
