CHILDREN at Tidcombe Primary School raised over £150 for Children in Need on a fun-filled day last week.
Face painting, spots, stripes and a cake sale were all ways in which the school reached their fantastic total.
Pupils paid £1 each to have their faces painted in a range of designs and after school, parents, teachers and children tucked into Children in Need-themed cakes and biscuits which had been donated by staff and parents.
Ruth Roberts, chair of the PTA said: "We always do a yummy Friday where we sell cakes to raise funds for the school, but today it's a special occasion as proceeds are going to Children in Need."It's been a good day, and it's great to see so many people wearing spots and stripes."
As well as raising money, year-six pupils wrote short pieces about what Children in Need means to people.
Head Teacher Simon Green added: "It's been a real pleasure to support the charity's work for disadvantaged children, and I'm wonderfully impressed with the support from our children, parents and PTA.”
