Thatch roof catches fire in Honiton

A THATCH roof caught fire this afternoon in Weston, Honiton.
Eight fire engine and one water carrier attended the scene at around 1.30pm.
Crews from Honiton, Ottery St Mary, Middlemoor, Sidmouth, Axminster, Cullompton, Exmouth and Danes Castle extinguished the fire using chimney gears, ladders and two hose reel jets.
The cause was accidental.
