Jewellery stolen in Mid Devon house burglary

SEVERAL items of high value jewellery were stolen in a house burglary at Ellerhayes, near Hele in Mid Devon.

A rear door to the property was forced open sometime 2pm and 4pm yesterday, Monday.

Among the pieces stolen was a bracelet made of old sixpenny pieces and gold earrings incrusted with sapphires and a diamond.

Other stolen items include a gold ring studded with diamonds and a wooden jewellery box inlayed with mother of pearl.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting reference KT/13/274.
