Tiverton museum wins tourism bronze award out of hundreds of entries
TIVERTON Museum of Mid Devon Life has claimed bronze in the South West’s Small Visitor Attraction of the Year Awards.
Some 300 entries were considered for the awards, with all entrants undergoing a rigorous short-listing process and 164 going on to be visited by a team of over 30 judges and mystery shoppers.
Museum curator Pippa Griffith said: “We are thrilled to have won this prestigious award which places us among the very top of the South West's many visitor attractions. “This is a wonderful reward for all of the hard work that our staff and volunteers do at the museum and proves yet again that that you don’t need to have a big budget to provide an excellent service.”
