THE Star is proud to celebrate 30 years of serving our loyal readers in 2013.

WE'RE not only celebrating three decades in business here at The Star, we're also celebrating moving into a new area.

For 2013, The Star is also circulating in Wellington, Holcombe Rogus and villages on the Devon-Somerset border.

Editor Alex Cameron said: “We are delighted to be serving Wellington and bringing our newspaper to thousands of new readers.
“As a local newspaper we will be keeping people up to date with the latest news and sport from where they live.”

While expanding into Wellington, The Star remains the number one free local newspaper for Mid Devon, distributing thousands of copies to households across the district and covering the latest news and sport from Tiverton, Cullompton and Crediton, among others.

The first edition of the paper was printed in March, 1983, and - 30 years later - we are proud to have become part of the community, bringing you the latest news, sport and leisure from your area.

The Star is the brightest free weekly read in the area and is delivered to thousands of homes across the Mid Devon and Wellington areas.

Alex added: “We are delighted and proud that Mid Devon's favourite free newspaper has been serving the community for more than 30 years.

“It is testament to the amount of support we have enjoyed from readers and advertisers alike, because without them, none of it would be possible.”
