Donna Statham, the charity's community fundraiser said: "We have a group of young men who are raising money for the NSPCC in memory of their 18-year-old school friend Sam, who died suddenly last year. They have already raised £3,500 and their target is £10,000."
"They will be collecting at Cullompton service station over the bank holiday weekend, Cullompton town centre on Saturday May 24, Tiverton town centre on Saturday, June 7 and South Molton on Thursday, June 19"
