TIVERTON security man Andrew Bucknell will be pounding the streets of London for charity in the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday, April 25.

Andrew, 41, is joining the Mr Men and Little Miss running team ,who compete in events nationwide.

He has spent months preparing for the gruelling 26.2-mile run and hopes to collect over £2,000 in sponsorship for the Children with Leukaemia.

Andrew said: “I wanted to raise funds for a charity that helps sick children.

“Each year, approximately 500 children are diagnosed with leukaemia in the UK.

“Though survival rates have been steadily improving over the past 40 years, approximately 100 children a year still lose their short life to this devastating disease.”
